Female condom with a new design lining up with teeth like hooks in a way to harm rapists is invented by South African Physician.
This Dr Sonnet Ehlers, who sold off her home and car to make the condom known as Rape-aXe in 2005, is reaching out at the FiFa World Cup venues, and after the trial, the condoms will be sold out by 2 dollars.
This latest condom can be inserted like a tampon and has jagged rows of hooks on the inside and it works by touching to a man"s penis during penetration. And once attached, it can only be removed by a doctor, and Dr Ehlers
This will be a great solution to catch the culprit.
“It hurts, he cannot pee and walk when it"s on. If he tries to remove it, it will clasp even tighter... however, it doesn"t break the skin, and there"s no danger of fluid exposure," News.com.au quoted her as saying.
“I consulted engineers, gynaecologists and psychologists to help in the design and make sure it was safe," she said.
The Rape-aXe condom however face criticism of people who feel that women will create more violence from men trapped by the device.
Dr Ehlers plans to distribute 30,000 free devices under supervision during the World Cup time.
